Susquehanna Valley Amateur Radio Club (SVARC)
The Susquehanna Valley Amateur Radio Club (SVARC) is a community of amateur radio operators brought together by curiosity, service, experimentation, and a shared love of radio communication.
Some of our members have been on the air for decades. Others are newly licensed—or still studying for their first exam. What we all share is an interest in learning, operating responsibly, and keeping amateur radio alive and relevant in our local area.
Whether you’re here because you’re already licensed, thinking about becoming a ham, or just curious about what amateur radio is all about, you’re welcome here.
What we do
SVARC exists to support amateur radio in the Susquehanna Valley in practical, hands-on ways. Our activities reflect the many sides of the hobby:

Monthly SVARC meetings are held in Sunbury, PA on the first Tuesday of the month and are open to both members and non-members interested in the hobby.
A Club With History—and Momentum
SVARC has deep roots in the Susquehanna Valley, with a history that stretches back decades. Over the years, the club has grown, faded, regrouped, and evolved—much like amateur radio itself.
Today, we’re focused on honoring that history while also looking forward: new technologies, new operating modes, and new ways to connect people through radio.
