Standing Wave Ratio, often called VSWR. A measurement commonly used to evaluate how well an antenna system is matched to the transmitter and feed line.

An SWR near 1:1 indicates a good impedance match. A high SWR can indicate an antenna, feed-line, connector, or matching problem. Low SWR is useful, but it does not automatically mean an antenna works well.
